Are you looking for an honest Scanty Investment Review before you pull the trigger on a potential scam? Check out my review here first.
Hello and thanks for joining me here today, and welcome to me Scanty Investment Review. My name is Tyson and I’ll be playing the part of Internet Watchdog on this one, making sure that readers aren’t getting caught in another Ponzi, Pyramid, or some other kind of scheme.
Today’s company in question is called Scanty Investment, and let me tell you I can smell something shady right off the bat.
Here’s some other businesses that you may want to avoid:
So Who is Scanty Investment?
After digging through the website (www.scantyinvestment.com), I was able to find a few things – this is an excerpt from their about page:
“Scanty Investment. – Bitcoin Cryptocurrency Payments & Investment Platform.
We are investment company with a clear focus on emerging markets across select sectors that focus on developing and investing in Energy resources, Precious Stones, Real Estate, Agriculture and Stock market sectors which are viewed as the sectors of growth over the coming eras as the global population continues to increase rapidly.
We aim to create values and ensure strong financial returns by sourcing for the most attractive investments opportunities in emerging markets. Scanty Investment Market – is guided by a distinguished Board of Directors and by an experienced Management Team with diverse business backgrounds and strong sense of commitment.
We are committed to investment in the long term and generating value for our shareholder based on sustainability, best ethical practices and integrity.”
Sounds pretty professional and legitimate doesn’t it? Especially with all this talk of an “experienced management team” and ethical practices.
But that’s all just words isn’t it? Time to do some investigating!
Who Is Russell Baker?
I won’t waste a lot of time on this guy, because.. well he’s not a real person. But I imagine you knew that already based on my tone so far.
Russell Baker is a fictional character with a fake name and a “borrowed” photograph. Here’s what I did:
1. Took a screenshot of the Staff Members on the About page.
2. Cropped it down to the character in question – Russell Baker.
3. Reuploaded the photo into Google Images, and sorted through the results.
Imagine my surprise to find out that the picture actually belongs to an “Alexander Oleg Zhirkov”, with respective profiles that can be found on LinkedIn and other sites.
Turns out his photographs have been used a number of times across the internet, going by many names.
If that’s not enough to send you (and your wallet) running, keep on reading while we go a little deeper.
Fake Business Address – Another Bad Sign
So the registered business address is 182 N Logan Street, Texas City, Texas 77590 USA.
I’m sure that’s a real address judging from my Google Map results, but it sure as heck doesn’t look like the “Head Branch” of an Investment Company.
Huh, again we’re left at a loss for anything real with these guys.
A fake business address and fake names, these guys are sending out red flags at every turn.
How Does The Scam Work?
You can invest your Cryptocurrency in Scanty Investment, and they’ll return it in whatever currency you prefer. Sounds too good to be true, right?
That’s because it is. Take a look at these images that I’ve pulled from the website:
And yes, there is a “Super Mega Plan” also but it’s all phony bologna so I didn’t feel the need to grab anymore screenshots.
Give them money, and they’ll give you back.. more money. Sounds like the makings of a Ponzi Scheme here.
Oh, and there’s also a Referral Program!
But imagine when I found no details other than:
- Yes, we offer a multilevel referral plan, where you earn 5 generation deep
Again, so sketchy! Another red flag goes up and I’m advising against giving these guys your money.
What Does The Better Business Bureau Have To Say?
Honestly not very much at this point – In fact, almost no information is provided just yet. There is a D+ Ranking and 1 complaint so far, which is already off to a bad start.
I imagine as time goes on and more people start to call out this scam for what it is, it’ll get the attention of the BBB there will be more information to offer.
Until then, it’s up to smaller investigators like myself to get the word out there to protect consumers.
Just don’t do it – this is clearly another scam website designed to look the part of a real investment platform with all its copy and pasted information, but it stinks of bad news.
The Staff photos are fake, the address is fake, the testimonials are fake, yet they’ll take your real money in a variety of ways.
My verdict on this is: Scam Website!
